(SAIMS)

The purposeful development of Management as a Science is based on the following objectives of the Institute:

to promote the interests of Management Scientists in Southern Africa in accordance with identified needs by creating and developing a forum for the discussion of appropriate management education and research; |
· |
to encourage and extend appropriate developments in Business Management in Southern Africa pre-eminently with a view to future challenges and demands; |
· |
to serve as a forum for the exchange of research expertise in the Management and Economics Science by means of conferences and congresses at both the international and national levels; |
· |
to initiate the collection and processing of relevant information in the field of Management, and to make this information available to interested parties by means of, amongst others, publications; |
· |
to encourage local and international contact in the interests of Management Scientists in Southern Africa, and |
· |
to promote the status of Management Scientists. |
