The 11th Presidents Platform Meeting on “Shut up or speak up: What to do in a politicized world” took place on December 11, 2023. The primary topic of discuss concerned how a politicized world is affecting member associations. The attendees offered a candid account of their varied experiences across the globe and brought in different angles to the discussion. Participants also had the chance to look back at the topics discussed in previous PPMs and reflect on how this forum can continue to support our presidents grappling with challenges, such as contracting editors, open access, equity and impact on professionals.
